Limited Resource Family Farm is Recognized

Ohio’s 2002 nominee for the NRCS Small Farmer of the Year Awards Program, is the Butcher family of Athens County, Ohio. The USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Athens Soil and Water Conservation District nominated the Butcher family because of the their success in improving the profitability and quality of the natural resources on their family farm.

A video was produced for the NRCS Small Farmer of the Year Awards Program and that video was honored with a 2002 Telly Award for production. The Telly Awards are a national competition honoring outstanding non-network television commercials and programs and non-broadcast video and film production.
