First Ohio Minority Farmers' Conference

The first conference directed by Ohio minority farmers was held at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio, on Saturday, March 23, 2002. The conference, called “Marketing and Managing for Success,” provided information on improving the productive capability of Ohio’s minority farms and on increasing profits. This outreach event honored the requests of minority farmers that they expressed at a meeting led by USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and other cosponsors in April 2001.
