Student Temporary Employment Program

STUDENT TRAINEE POSITIONS: The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is recruiting students to participate in our Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP), for the summer of 2012 not to exceed three months.  We plan to fill positions in the Soil Conservation, Soil Science, and Engineering series.

Opening Date:  November 10, 2011.

Closing Date:  January 3, 2012.

Salary:  $10.95 - $13.94 per hour depending on qualifications

Open to U.S. Citizens Only

Note: This is a temporary 3-month position.

LOCATION: There are several positions available in Ohio.  The locations will be determined following a review of the applications.

HOW TO APPLY:   Applications must include:

  1. Resume (include work experience even if wages were not received)
  2. Copy of current college transcript
  3. A list of courses in which currently enrolled, those planned for the Spring Semester of 2012 and your expected graduation date
  4. DD-214 if claiming veteran preference

Students will be assigned to work at various training locations throughout the State of Ohio.
