Part 401 - Equal Employment Opportunity

Subpart A - Introduction

OH401.1 Policy

  1. It is the policy of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service that specific items pertaining to equal opportunity, civil rights, and personnel are to be posted in all NRCS offices. Following are 18 items that must be posted.

    “And Justice for All”
    USDA Secretary’s Civil Rights Policy Statement
    EEO - Equal Employment Opportunity Counseling Program
    USDA EEO is the Law
    Sexual Harassment is Illegal
    NRCS Chief’s Civil Rights Policy
    Ohio EOP Civil Rights Policy Statement
    OSHA Occupational Safety and Health Protection
    Prohibited Personnel Practices
    Rules and Regulations Governing Public Buildings and Grounds
    Sexual Harassment
    FLSA Minimum Wage
    USDA Hotline
    Whistleblower
    Whistleblower Retaliation
    Workplace Violence
    E-Verify Right to Work
    If You Have the Right to Work, Don’t Let Anyone Take It Away

    1. The above 18 mandatory items as well as 17 optional items and 6 Special Emphasis Program Manager posters are listed in the attachment following this subpart (Posters: Mandatory – Optional – SEPM).

      1. Closed offices are only required to post the first five (5) items listed on the list.
         
      2. The “And Justice for All” poster (listed as mandatory item 1-A) is to be posted in all NRCS offices except RC&D and closed NRCS offices.  RC&D and closed NRCS offices are to post the 1-B “And Justice for All” poster.
         
      3. By clicking on the links listed in the attachment, all of the items can be printed on 8.5 x 11 paper.

    3. The list indicates where and for whom the posters are to be displayed; “P” is for public display, “IH” (In-house) is for employee viewing only (out of public view).
       
    4. Optional posters have much valuable information; however, the posting of these should be discussed within the office.
