Cooperative Conservation Partnership Initiative (CCPI)

The Cooperative Conservation Partnership Initiative is a voluntary program established to foster conservation partnerships that focus technical and financial resources on conservation priorities in watersheds of special significance and other geographic areas of environmental sensitivity.  Under CCPI, the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) enters into partnership agreements with eligible entities that want to enhance conservation outcomes on agricultural and nonindustrial private forest lands.

Active CCPI Projects

Delaware CCPI – Utilizing innovation nutrient reduction practices and technologies in the Upper Walnut Creek Watershed of Ohio.

Hickory Branch Water Quality CCPI – to improve water quality by the accelerated adoption of a suite of conservation practices in the Hickory Branch Watershed (Ohio/Indiana).

Mississippi River Basin CCPI - Available in the Upper Great Miami, Upper Scioto, and Upper Wabash Watersheds in Ohio.

News Release - USDA Mississippi River Basin Partnership Project Proposals Due March 19, 2012

Request for Proposals - Deadline for application is March 19, 2012

Eligible partners may submit proposals for MRBI-CCPI via email or U.S. Postal Service; however, all proposals must be received on or before March 19, 2012.

ADDRESSES: Applicants are encouraged to submit proposals electronically to MRBI-CCPI@wdc.usda.gov for CCPI. If submitting a paper proposal, the proposal may be mailed to:

Do not send submissions via registered or certified mail. Do not send the same proposal both electronically and to the P.O. Box address; use only one method to submit a proposal. If submitting more than one project proposal, please submit each separately.
