This 2435 square mile river basin flows through Indiana and Ohio and drains
into the Maumee River to Lake Erie. Approximately 80 percent of the land
area is in agriculture. Developed land covers approximately 7 percent of
the watershed.
Erosion, sedimentation and nutrient enrichment are soil and water resource
challenges in the Auglaize. Wetland and wildlife habitat loss are also
resource concerns.
