 Mission:
To assist in the education and leadership for communities; to protect our
natural resources and improve economics and conservation conditions for the
enhancement of land, water, and life.
June 26 - 28, 2007 - Grant Writing Workshop
The Maumee Valley RC & D, in conjunction with the Community Foundation of
Findlay & Hancock county, is co-sponsoring Grant Writing III from June 26 to
June 28, 2007. The instructor for this seminar will be noted grant writer and
lecturer Dr. Don Udell from Oklahoma City, OK. Dr. Udell has presented grant
writing courses for over 20 years to RC & D's throughout the United States. The
seminar will be held at The Family Center located at 1800 North Blanchard St.
Findlay Ohio 45840. Grant writing III will focus on the overall development of
the grant proposal. The seminar will also show how to construct various
components of the proposal such as the budget process and the evaluation
components of the completed grant. The grant writing seminar will cover the
following topics: initial approach by proposal, budget development, developing
an evaluation design, constructing objectives, proposal development, and
developing effective cover letters, titles and abstracts. The cost of the three
day seminar is $250.00 and this price includes all workshop materials, lunches,
and breaks. Participants are responsible for their own lodging. There are no
prerequisites for Grant writing III and registration is due by June 11th.

What is the Maumee Valley RC&D?
- A regional collation of County Commissioners, Soil and Water Conservation
Districts, Members at Large, and Maumee Conservancy District formed to improve
the economy and environment of the ten county area.
- An incorporated non profit organization with an IRS 501(c)3 determination.
- A program of the Department of Agriculture, which provides substantial
support in terms of staff, office and equipment.
What the Maumee Valley RC&D does:
Maumee Valley RC&D provides a vehicle for units of governments and community
organizations to network and combine efforts on regional priorities, share
resources, and accomplish grassroots projects. Council members initiate projects
and set priorities.
