CADalog- Organization

This book is organized into two (2) sections; the first is "Standard Drawings" and the second is "Standard Details", defined as:

Standard Drawing- a complete drawing which is approved by the State Conservation Engineer and is assigned a drawing number; a list of these drawings is maintained in the National Engineering Manual (NEM), Part 536- Structural Engineering, OH536.09(c) State Standard Drawing Details, (6). The box containing the Standard Drawing No. OH-N-###-CAD and Approval Date (immediately to the left of the title block) must be shown whenever one of these drawings is used. NOTE: Not every drawing that is listed in the NEM is available in CADD format.

Standard Detail- a "stand-alone" detail which by itself is not a complete drawing. Several standard details can be combined on one sheet along with a border line and title block to create a sheet of standard details.

Each section is prefaced with an index. The index is an Alphabetical Listing (by description) of all the files currently available in CADD format. The index shows the File Name, Description, Drawing No. (Standard Drawings only), and the Date (latest approval/revision). A "picture representation" of every drawing/detail follows the index page. The "pictures" are arranged in ascending numerical order using the four digit number that appears in the file name as the sorting variable. Each "picture" is labeled at the bottom of the sheet with the Description (lower left corner) and the File Name (lower right corner).

All file names are in the following format:
OH####YR.DWG -or- OH####YR.DWF

OH- Ohio
####- four-digit number (corresponds to the drawing/detail number)
YR- last two digits of the year the drawing/detail was last approved/revised
.DWG- the AutoCAD drawing file extension
.DWF- the AutoCAD drawing web format extension

All drawing numbers are in the following format: OH-N-###-CAD
This is the same format used in the NEM for drawing numbers, except that “CAD” has been appended to the end of the number. This will identify a drawing as a CADD drawing.
