NRCS NATIONAL ENGINEERING HANDBOOK (NEH) PART 642, SPECIFICATIONS FOR
CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS
NEH Part 642 is a complete replacement for National Engineering Handbook
Section 20. These specifications are used primarily for PL-566 projects,
Dam Rehabilitation projects,
and other larger (non-CO-01) projects.
View and Download the
current Part 642 CONSTRUCTION and MATERIAL specifications as well as the
Instructions for Using these specifications. The above link will take you
to the NRCS e-Directives web site. Once there, from the left side menu,
select "Handbooks". Then from the list on the right, expand (by clicking
on the + sign) Title 210- Engineering; then expand National Engineering
Handbook; then select Part 642- Specifications for Construction Contracts.
When that screen opens, there are three choices: Chapter 1- General Contract
Specification Procedures; Chapter 2- National Standard Construction
Specifications; and Chapter 3- National Standard Material
Specifications.
