Soil report using the Access file (.mdb) - Instructions

 

 

1.      Using Windows Exporer go to My Computer then to the F drive and open folder named geodata then folder named soils.  Next open the county folder (eg. soil_oh103), then in the tabular file open the soil database file with .mdb extension by double clicking on file name.  Example file named soil_d_oh103.mdb.

2.      After opening the soil data file the window pictured above will appear.

  1. Select desired map units or click on “Select All”.  Hold down “Ctrl” to select more than one map unit.
  2. Click on button to get list of reports available.

  1. Click on the button “Include Report Description” if you want to include an explanation of the criteria used in the interpretations and a description of the limiting features used in the report.
